Reduce the Bills

The six core needs were originally identified by Anthony Robbins, a well-known author and motivational speaker. They include:

1. Certainty
People have a basic need for stability, safety, and predictability in their workplace. Leaders who can provide a sense of security and establish clear expectations can help their followers feel more certain and confident.
2. Variety
On the other hand, people also need variety, novelty, and change to feel engaged and stimulated. Leaders who can introduce new challenges or opportunities for growth can help their followers feel more fulfilled.
3. Significance
People need to feel that their lives have meaning and that they are valued. Leaders who recognize and acknowledge the contributions of their followers can help them feel more significant.
4. Connection
People are social creatures and need to feel connected to others. Leaders who foster a sense of community and encourage collaboration can help their followers feel more connected and supported.
5. Growth
People have a natural desire to learn, develop, and improve. Leaders who provide opportunities for growth and development can help their followers achieve their full potential.
6. Contribution
People also need to feel that they are making a meaningful contribution to something larger than themselves. Leaders who can align their followers’ personal goals with the goals of the group or organization can help them feel more fulfilled and motivated.
By understanding and addressing these six core needs, leaders can create a more positive and productive work environment, foster greater loyalty and commitment among their followers, and ultimately achieve greater success. This book talks about how leaders can implement structure and systems to meet the needs of their team members without adding another ‘full time’ task list to their to-do list.
